The most viewed overseas properties on Rightmove include supermodel Claudia Schiffer’s former Majorca mansion and an incredible high-rise flat with sweeping views of Manhattan.

The UK-based property website has revealed that jaded lockdown Brits dreaming of moving to pastures new with vivid vistas and sunny skies are behind an 18 per cent surge in views on the overseas section of its website.

The online real estate giant said the most sought-after property is a massive ranch in California which comes with a horse riding facility.

This will set you back a cool £30million.

Meanwhile a sublime apartment in Manhattan in New York – the heart of the ‘Big Apple’ and the setting for hit sitcom Friends – offers sweeping skyline views over the incredible city.

And a a Greek island retreat complete with helipad is sure to bag itself a billionaire buyer.

Rightmove’s Tim Bannister said: “It’s been an unusual 12 months for the overseas market as people have been restricted from flying abroad for much of the year.

“However, we’ve still seen enormous interest in overseas property this year, and in fact there’s been an 18 per cent annual increase in the number of users on our overseas site in 2020.

“So there definitely remains a huge appetite among the British public to view homes overseas.

“From a magnificent New York apartment to a palatial Greek mansion, these five properties are pretty special.”

Californian equestrian ranch, ‘Rancho Latigo’ – £30million

The number one most viewed overseas property advertised on Rightmove is a 4,600 acre estate in the gorgeous rolling hills in Santa Ynez, north of Santa Barbara, in the so-called Golden State.

It boasts great views of the natural landscape surrounding it which, to this day is a huge parcel of land which remains largely untouched.

It comes complete with its own equestrian centre and barn with 11 stalls.
